Shakur Stevenson has expressed his stance on the necessity of a rematch between Devin Haney, the undisputed lightweight champion, and Vasyl Lomachenko, a former champion in three weight classes.
The American boxer asserts that the Ukrainian contender deserves a second shot. He acknowledged that after witnessing the fight with Haney, he recognized that Lomachenko still ranks among the elite boxers, and he'd relish the opportunity to challenge him in the ring.
Stevenson also noted that, if he were in Haney's position, he would offer a rematch, as he wouldn't want any doubts surrounding his victory to emerge among fans following the fight.
It should be remembered that in the previous bout between Haney and Lomachenko, the Ukrainian was defeated by a unanimous decision of the judges (112-116, 113-115, 113-115).
