Interim WBO heavyweight champion Joe Joyce has spoken about a possible fight with WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF titleholder Oleksandr Usyk.
"If Usyk does not want to fight me, then he must vacate the belt, and then I will become a full-fledged champion and be able to defend the title. I think I can get to him if I keep pushing.
He's a very skilled fighter, but at this level, it's going to be tough from here on out. This time I would be more prepared and have a proper training camp geared towards him.
That's over 12 rounds with smaller gloves, and I've come a long way since then. It was a long time ago. It takes 10 years to achieve sports excellence.
I'm over it, and I'm still learning, so it would be a great 12-round fight," Joyce said.
