In terms of style, Jack Catterall and Harlem Eubank are surprisingly similar. Both favor pressure-based boxing, built on active footwork, in-and-out movement, and tight, short combinations. They’re comfortable at close range, where they rotate around their opponents, land compact punches, and smother responses.

The tactical key will be who gets to implement their usual rhythm—and who proves more adaptable. That includes showing the ability to box off the back foot and land clean counterpunches, if needed.

Both men are 31 years old, but the experience gap is significant.

Catterall has fought at the top level for some time, with recent opponents including Jorge Linares, Josh Taylor, Regis Prograis, and Arnold Barboza. Across those four fights, he suffered only one narrow loss.

For Eubank, this is the first opponent of genuine championship caliber—his first real proving ground.

Catterall throws around 100 more punches per fight on average. His activity tends to increase as the rounds go on, while also maintaining solid shot selection.

Catterall lands at 30–32% accuracy. Eubank averages around 17%, a noticeable gap in efficiency.

Catterall, meanwhile, hasn’t fought less than 10 rounds since that same year, going the full 10 or 12 consistently.

Both fighters have already competed once in 2025. Catterall lost a close decision to Arnold Barboza in a high-level clash. Eubank stopped Tyrone McKenna, a credible opponent, but one step below world-level.

Statistically, both have just over 40% KO rates, but the context is important. Eubank has three stoppages in his last five.

Catterall hasn’t stopped anyone since 2019, and generally relies on accumulation and sharp, clean work rather than raw power.

Both have excellent durability, not only because of their chins, but due to their slick, elusive styles. They’re simply hard to hit clean with anything dangerous.

The fight takes place at the AO Arena in Manchester. Catterall is familiar with the setting, having fought there four times with two KOs and two decision wins.

This will be Eubank’s debut at the venue, adding a slight edge to Catterall in terms of comfort and familiarity.

Eubank is looking for a breakthrough. At 31, he knows time is short to break into world title contention. Beating a proven name like Catterall would launch him toward elite opportunities. Catterall is aiming to bounce back after a competitive loss. He still believes he belongs at the top, but needs a statement win to stay in that conversation—and handing Eubank his first loss would be just that.
