Usyk vs. Pereira & Usyk vs. Parker – UFC Champion Makes His Predictions

Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (15-3) shared his thoughts on potential matchups between undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBO interim champion Joseph Parker, as well as a hypothetical showdown between Usyk and UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

– Recently, Oleksandr Usyk mentioned that he'd like to fight Joseph Parker at the end of his career, followed by an exhibition match with Alex Pereira. What are your thoughts? Who wins?

– Usyk is still undefeated in boxing, so I think he wins both fights.

– Is there any MMA star you believe could switch to boxing and become a champion?

– No, I don’t think so. I believe MMA and boxing are two completely different disciplines. One athlete can be elite in one, and another can be elite in the other, but they are separate sports.

So no, I don’t think it’s possible, Aspinall stated.

Both Usyk and Pereira have expressed interest in facing each other, with Pereira recently even suggesting a possible timeline for the fight.
