“Knock you out, n*y.” Eubank and Benn Exchanged Threats**

On the eve of the announcement, Turki Al AlSheikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, revealed that a fight had been agreed upon between welterweight boxer Conor Benn (23–0, 14 KOs) and IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (34–3, 25 KOs).

Soon after the announcement, the British fighters took to social media and exchanged threats.

“I can’t wait to knock you out, n***y, Chris,” Benn wrote.

“You couldn’t even fart, little cheater,” Eubank replied.

Background to the Confrontation

Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn had scheduled a bout for October 2022, but it was canceled due to Benn’s positive doping test. Since then, Benn has fought in the USA, where the suspension did not apply, and the accusations against him were dropped in November.

In 2023, Eubank Jr. traded technical knockouts with Liam Smith, and in October he returned to the ring with a seventh-round TKO victory over Kamil Szeremeta.
