SES Promotions Wins Purse Bid for Billam-Smith vs. Fress

SES Promotions has won the purse bid to stage the fight for the WBO Interim Cruiserweight title between Britain’s Chris Billam-Smith and Germany’s Roman Fress.

The winning bid totaled $156,931, and it was the only offer submitted. The bout is expected to take place in January in Germany.

The first round of purse bids had been declared void after the World Boxing Organization (WBO) received no submissions.

Chris Billam-Smith (21-2, 13 KOs) last fought in April, defeating Brandon Glanton by unanimous decision.

In May, Roman Fress (23-1, 13 KOs) also claimed a unanimous-decision victory over Michael Seitz.
