Trainer of former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, Malik Scott, shared the current condition of his athlete.
– How is he doing right now? – He’s doing very well. He’s had several surgeries and is recovering. He’s doing very, very well.
– Is he as hungry as he used to be?
– After coming from where he came from, achieving what he’s achieved, making what he’s made, has he remained that hungry guy we saw in the first 2-3 years? Probably not.
He’s found other motivations and inspirations. And if he wants to continue, and I know he does because fights are in his heart, as I said before, 2025 will be a big year for him.
He has many options. Even if you haven’t seen him after the loss, he still has many options because he’s a big fighter, – said Scott.
Deontay Wilder has lost four of his last five bouts.
