Promoter Names Fighter Who Will End Crawford’s Career

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz commented on a potential fight between WBA light middleweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) and WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion Saúl Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs).

Lewkowicz believes Canelo would easily defeat Crawford, and if the fight doesn’t happen, Crawford would face WBC and WBO light middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs), whom Lewkowicz represents.

"It seems Crawford only wants to fight Canelo. If Álvarez gets $100 million for the fight with Crawford, he’ll agree and knock all the crap out of Terence. He’s no fool. It’s an easy fight, and that’s it. It will be the end of Crawford’s career.

If Canelo doesn’t agree to the fight with Crawford, we’re ready to fight Terence. All our focus is on Crawford. We have no other plans. We want to fight Terence. Sebastian believes he will beat Crawford, and when he does, he’ll become a superstar. Sebastian has the guts, and he’s a dangerous opponent for anyone," said Lewkowicz.

On September 15, Saúl Álvarez defeated Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs) by unanimous decision. In August, Terence Crawford also won by unanimous decision against Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KOs).
