In an interview with Full Circle, the coach of former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs), Ben Davison, expressed his belief that Turki Al-Alsheikh has enough influence to organize a fight between his protégé and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
"Can I tell you the truth? Honestly, I don't know. I really don't know. But if I were to say anything, it's that if it happens, Turki Al-Alsheikh, his excellency, is the man who will make it happen. He gets results every time. I know there are cases where promoters say something and then eventually do it. For him, it's important to do something and then talk about it.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has many things that are already signed and done, and we just don't know about it. Unless he's so good that he can organize everything within 24 hours. Tyson's situation is somewhat unpredictable, if he plans to have a rematch with Usyk, even with Ngannou, but a fight with AJ is the fight fans want to see. It's a fight they've wanted for years, let's see," said Davison.
Anthony Joshua will enter the ring on March 8th against Francis Ngannou (0-1) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title between Tyson Fury and the holder of the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) will take place on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
