Insider: Frank Martin Negotiates Fight with Shakur Stevenson’s Former Opponent

Dominican lightweight boxer Edwin De Los Santos (16–2, 14 KOs) and American fighter Frank Martin (18–1, 12 KOs) are currently in negotiations for a potential matchup, according to boxing analyst Fernando Sabatini.

Based on Sabatini's information, the fight is slated to take place on March 29 at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas, USA. This bout would be featured on the undercard of the highly anticipated clash between Sebastian Fundora (21–1–1, 13 KOs) and Errol Spence Jr. (28–1, 22 KOs). The fight could be contested in either the lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) or super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg) division, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

However, Frank Martin himself has downplayed these rumors:

"I haven't heard anything about negotiations... I'm not keeping it a secret, I haven't heard a damn thing," Martin stated emphatically.

Edwin De Los Santos last stepped into the ring in November 2023 against Shakur Stevenson, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss. Meanwhile, in June, Frank Martin faced his first career defeat at the hands of Jervonta Davis, being knocked out in the 8th round
