Teofimo Lopez Challenges George Kambosos for a Rematch

November 27, 2024, marked the three-year anniversary of George Kambosos’s stunning victory over Teofimo Lopez. In that fight, Kambosos won by decision, becoming the undisputed lightweight champion and taking Lopez’s belts.

Now WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) has claimed to have made "fair offers" for fights with both Kambosos and Devin Haney, which he says were declined. Kambosos responded sharply:

"So this is your fair offer.

As I said in 2021, and I’ll say it again in 2024, you’re a fraud. What kind of fair offer is it when you know nothing about money, PPV, or ticket sales? You know where to find me. Bring your dad along too—we’re already 2-0 against you clowns. Your bosses don’t respect you anyway, just like I didn’t when I embarrassed you.

Loma fought you with one hand, don’t kid yourself. The version of Loma that fought me would’ve finished you in five rounds."

Lopez fired back, calling on Kambosos to accept the fight:

"Then take the fight.

Or are you just going to keep running your mouth? You’ve lost your last four fights and surrendered to Lomachenko," Lopez retorted.

Kambosos is no longer competing in the lightweight division. He recently signed with Matchroom Boxing and announced his move to super lightweight.
