Brandon Adams: “I Knew Warrior Bohachuk Would Want a Rematch with Me”

Thirty-six-year-old American Super Welterweight Brandon Adams shared his expectations ahead of the rematch with 30-year-old Ukrainian Serhii Bohachuk.

“I knew that eventually warrior Serhii Bohachuk would want a rematch with me. I didn’t know when it would happen. What Vergil (Ortiz did in his fight with Bohachuk), he saw it from me. I became his blueprint for how to beat Serhii Bohachuk. I draw inspiration from every corner of the world, I try to be what I needed when I was growing up. I want to show myself that under the bright lights I can be much better than before. I really don’t know how good I can be”, said Adams.

The first fight between Brandon Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) and Serhii Bohachuk (26-2, 24 KOs) took place in March 2021 and ended with Adams scoring an eighth-round technical knockout, handing Bohachuk his first professional loss.

The rematch will be held on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, USA, on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford. The event will be streamed live on Netflix.
