Alimkhanuly: “My Goal Is to Unify All Four Belts and Make History”

WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly shared his expectations ahead of his unification bout against WBA titleholder Erislandy Lara.

“My goal is to unify all four belts and make history. I have worked tirelessly to get here. I’ve been calling out the champions for a long time — and Lara accepted.

The big fight will take place on December 6. God willing, I will win my third belt. History is almost written,” Alimkhanuly said.

The unification bout between Alimkhanuly and Lara will be held on December 6 in San Antonio, Texas, with the event broadcast via Amazon Prime PPV.

In April, Janibek Alimkhanuly (17-0, 12 KOs) stopped Anaueyl Ngamissengue via TKO in the fifth round.

Erislandy Lara (31-3-3, 19 KOs) last fought in September 2024, defeating Danny Garcia inside nine rounds after Garcia’s corner stopped the fight.
