Zuffa Boxing will let Jai Opetaia unify titles

The Zuffa Boxing promotional outfit will allow IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia to pursue title unifications. This was revealed by the Australian’s co-promoter Mick Francis. Earlier, the 30-year-old boxer became the first world champion to start working with Zuffa.

Francis stated that despite the public stance of Dana White and Zuffa Boxing not to recognize sanctioning bodies, they are ready to make an exception in Opetaia’s case.

“They will let Jai fight for the titles and unify the division,” Francis told Boxing King Media.

Zuffa Boxing is a joint boxing promotion created by TKO and Sela. Its leadership includes UFC President Dana White; the head of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh; Sela CEO Dr. Rakan AlHarthy; and WWE president Nick Khan.
