Wilder’s Next Opponent Named. It Is Not Usyk

American former Heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder and Briton Derek Chisora could hold a fight, reports Brunch Boxing.

The bout is scheduled for April 2026, and the venue will be Great Britain. Next week a press conference will take place in London, where the fight will be officially announced.

According to the publication's information, the duel between Wilder and WBA, WBC, IBF, and IBO Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk also remains in the plans. The tentative date for this confrontation is late July or early August. Holding the fight will become possible provided that Wilder defeats Chisora.

In June, 40-year-old Deontay Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) defeated Tyrrell Herndon by technical knockout in the 7th round.

Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) last entered the ring in February 2025 against Otto Wallin and won by unanimous decision. The next bout will be the 50th and, likely, the last in the career of the 42-year-old Briton.
