Wardley on Returning to the Ring: “Spending Time with Family”

British WBO Heavyweight world champion Fabio Wardley spoke about when his return to the ring is planned, and whether there is currently a list of possible opponents.

“I don't have an opponent yet. I haven't even talked about it. After the last fight, I just said, ‘I’m taking a few weeks off and spending time with family...'”

“I definitely plan to return in the first half of next year. I am already a world champion and I’m not going to stay idle for long. There are massive fights ahead. So there is still a lot to do.

I’ll try to come back sometime in April or March. I’ll try not to stay idle for too long,” said Fabio.

Wardley became the full champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title. Before that, the Briton knocked out Joseph Parker in the 11th round, gaining the status of interim champion.
