Turki Lists Four Possible Opponents for Canelo After Crawford

The Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, has revealed who might face undisputed super-middleweight champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez once the Mexican star is through with Terence Crawford.

“We’re in talks with Canelo to extend his contract with us—possibly through the end of his career.

My plan includes Hamzah Sheeraz, Christian Mbilli and—perhaps one day—David Benavidez. Dmitry Bivol is there, too. Canelo still has plenty of fights ahead of him. But first we’ll see what happens in September.

This bout could open a new chapter for Crawford if he decides to keep going. We’ll see how it turns out; no one knows for sure. In my view it’s a true 50–50 fight—one of the biggest in boxing over the past ten years. Thanks to our partnership with Netflix, it could become a global event,” Alalshikh told Ring Magazine’s YouTube channel.
