Tim Tszyu returns to winning ways after loss to Fundora

On 17 December at the TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia, a middleweight bout (up to 72.6 kg) took place between local former world champion Tim Tszyu (26-3, 18 KOs) and American Anthony Velazquez (18-1-1, 15 KOs).

The fight went the full 10-round distance and ended with Tszyu taking a unanimous decision. The judges scored it 100–91 and twice 100–90 in favor of the Australian.

This was Tszyu’s first fight since his rematch loss to Sebastian Fundora in July of this year, when the Australian’s corner pulled him out after the seventh round.

For Velazquez, this is the first defeat of his career. In July, Anthony knocked out Terry Chatwood in the fifth round.
