Pulev Agrees to Fight Gassiev – Insider

According to insider Dan Rafael, WBA Regular Heavyweight Champion Kubrat Pulev has reached an agreement to face Murat Gassiev.

The bout is reportedly scheduled for December 12 in Dubai. Gassiev currently holds the No. 12 spot in the heavyweight rankings.

Earlier, the WBA had ordered Pulev (32-3, 14 KOs) to defend his title against the division’s No. 1 contender, 20-year-old Briton Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs), whose next fight is planned for December 13 in the United Kingdom.

In 2023, Gassiev (32-2, 25 KOs) lost a decision to Otto Wallin. Since then, he has fought twice — once in 2024 and once in 2025 — winning both bouts by stoppage.
