Spencer Brown, manager of former Heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, shared his reaction after learning that his fighter had failed a drug test.
“We are completely shocked by the results. Right now we’re simply waiting to speak with Joe, David Higgins and promoter Frank Warren.
It’s too early to say anything definitive, but we will get to the bottom of it,” Brown said.
Earlier reports indicated that traces of cocaine were found in Parker’s system before his fight with Fabio Wardley. VADA will now pass its findings to UKAD and the British Boxing Board of Control. Parker could face a two-year suspension.
