O’Shaquie Foster Beats Stephen Fulton to Win Interim WBC Lightweight Title

On December 6 in San Antonio, USA, a 12-round fight for the interim WBC Lightweight title took place between 31-year-old former three-division champion Stephen Fulton (23-2, 8 KOs) and 32-year-old WBC Super Featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster (24-3, 12 КО).

The bout ended in a unanimous decision: 118-110, 117-111, and 119-109 for Foster.

A day earlier, Fulton missed weight, coming in nearly 1 kg over the limit. Even so, the WBC allowed the fighters to contest a title in a new division for both men. The full WBC Lightweight champion is Shakur Stevenson.
