Itauma Knocks Out Whyte in the First Round

On August 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a scheduled 10-round Super Heavyweight bout took place between 20-year-old British prospect Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) and his 37-year-old compatriot Dillian Whyte (31-4-21).

The fight ended in the very first round by knockout. Moses landed a sharp combination, sending his opponent to the canvas. During the referee’s count, Whyte staggered backward into the corner, prompting the referee to wave off the contest immediately.

For Whyte, this was his third fight since returning from an almost two-year hiatus between 2022 and 2024. Itauma, meanwhile, extended his streak of consecutive stoppage victories to nine in a row.
