Teofimo on Shakur: “The Last Real Fight Boxing Will Ever See”

WBO Super Lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez sent a direct message to WBC Lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, sharing what he expects from their possible showdown.

“Shakur, we won’t just be fighting — this could be the last real fight boxing will ever see! Let’s make boxing truly great again!” Lopez wrote.

Shakur Stevenson responded:

“That’s a fact. Best fighting the best, winner becomes the king.”

The fight between Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) and Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) has not yet been finalized. In their most recent outings, Teofimo defeated Arnold Barboza, while Shakur beat William Zepeda.

Stevenson has also said he could capture the WBO belt and then vacate it, opening the way for his friend Keyshawn Davis, who has yet to debut at Super Lightweight but has long planned the move.
