Okolie in Germany: "The Men of These Lands Fled, Now I Own Them"

WBC Silver heavyweight champion Lawrence Okolie has issued a fiery challenge to the WBC interim heavyweight titleholder Agit Kabayel.

“I am Lawrence Ikitu Olava Tobi Okolie, live from Germany. Former Commonwealth, European, and world cruiserweight champion. Former WBC world bridgerweight champion. Current WBC Silver heavyweight champion of the world.

I want to face Agit Kabayel next. That is the only reason I am here in cold Germany. He calls himself the Bogeyman. Agit, you call yourself the Bogeyman. Don’t run in fear.

I am claiming my rights to Germany, Kurdistan, the world. I want you next,” Okolie stated in a video, which he captioned: “The men of these lands fled in silence; now I own Germany.”

Okolie (23-1, 17 KOs) won his previous bout by stopping Ebenezer Tetteh in two rounds. Kabayel (27-0, 19 KOs) knocked out Damian Knyba on January 10, 2026, which prompted this direct call-out from Lawrence.
