“The era of true gladiators” – Lapin names the greatest heavyweight periods

Serhii Lapin, CEO of Ready to Fight and director of Oleksandr Usyk’s team, shared his perspective on the most iconic eras in heavyweight boxing history.

“The 90s were the strongest — Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe. That was the era of true gladiators. Then came the 80s — a time when the classic foundations were laid.

The 2000s belonged to the Klitschko brothers — an era of systematic dominance and discipline.

The modern period is the era of showmanship and media — less ‘wild,’ but more spectacular,” Lapin said.
