Oleksandr Krassyuk, promoter of former lightweight world champion Denys Berinchyk, discussed his fighter’s recovery and future plans, as well as updates on other boxers he manages.
“He had an injury. He lost in the U.S. back in February, lost his title, suffered a shoulder injury, and underwent surgery. Now he’s fully recovered. I have partners who also promote him, and we’re collaborating with Queensberry. Hopefully, we’ll have something interesting for him next year.
Besides that, I have two promising fighters — well, not exactly young anymore. I signed the first one when he was 16. Now he’s a grown man with a family and a child, but he’s still competing in the amateurs — Vasiliy Chebotar from the Moldovan national team. The second one is Yaroslav Khartsyz, an Olympian who represented Ukraine in Tokyo.
We’re currently working on ranking fights for both of them, and I believe next year we’ll be in a position to contend for major titles,” said Krassyuk.
