Hearn on Opportunities of Jake–Joshua Fight: “50 Times More Money”

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn explained why the fight involving his company’s client, former unified Heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, offers so many opportunities. And also what the benefit is for the boxer himself and for boxing.

“This fight gives us so many opportunities.

The first is — we were going to have an 8-round fight anyway before we would enter 2026. Now we will get 50 times more money for this.

We can go into this fight, knock this guy out in the first or second round. The plan for the Saturday fight is to come out of it with a lot of money, possessing the most popular property in boxing. But what is even more important — to prepare with a new team for the attack on the Heavyweight division in 2026,” said Hearn.

The bout will take place in Miami, USA, on December 19.
