Gvozdyk to Face Ramirez in Fight for Interim Belt

According to Notifight, former WBC Light Heavyweight world champion, the Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk, will face the Venezuelan Albert Ramirez. The WBA interim cruiserweight title will be at stake.

The promotional company Eye of the Tiger previously announced that Ramirez’s next fight will take place on February 5 in Montreal, Canada. Gvozdyk had spoken about negotiations with the Venezuelan’s team and his readiness to step into the ring.

Gvozdyk (21-2, 17 КО) has not been in the ring since April 2025, when he stopped Anthony Holloway in the 3rd round—this was the Ukrainian’s cruiserweight debut. Ramirez’s (22-0, 19 КО) previous fight also ended early – he defeated Jerome Pampellone by technical knockout in the 7th round.
