Warren: “I Know What Fight Fury Wants – It’s a Rematch with Usyk”

Founder and head of Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, has spoken about the potential return of former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury.

— Could Tyson come back in 2026?

— Yes, I believe he’ll fight in 2026. Yes, I really do.

— Would that fight be against Joshua?

— We’ll see who it is. As I always say — until the contract is signed, nothing means anything. It has to be signed, otherwise it’s just talk. Everyone talks, everyone hopes, and then nothing happens. So a signed contract is what matters.

— Have you seen the desire in Fury himself to fight Joshua in 2026?

— Listen, he’s a real fighter. He wants to fight. And I know which fight he truly wants — it’s the rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. That’s what he’s aiming for. If you ask what he really wants, that’s what he tells me whenever we speak. That’s the fight he truly wants.

But again, he’s a fighter. If he continues his career — and he’s giving indications that he will — then of course, a fight with Joshua would be massive. That’s obvious, no question about it.
