Egidijus Kavaliauskas Vacates EBU European Welterweight Title

According to The Ring Magazine, Lithuanian boxer Egidijus Kavaliauskas has vacated his EBU welterweight title.

It is reported that 32-year-old Belgian Anas Messaoudi and 27-year-old Spaniard Samuel Molina will fight for the vacant title in a rematch. Their first encounter ended in a draw. The parties have until January 28 to reach an agreement. If no deal is struck by then, the organization will order a purse bid.

Kavaliauskas was originally scheduled to face Messaoudi but decided to pursue a bigger fight instead.
