Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn commented on the WBC’s decision to strip former undisputed champion Terence Crawford of his title.

“You were bragging about your undisputed status, and the WBC belt is part of that. But you can’t hold the titles, brag about them, and at the same time not pay the fees. Do I think $300,000 is a big amount? Yes, I do.

But what will Mauricio Sulaiman say? ‘When you make $40 million, is that big money? Yes, it’s big. But those are the rules.’ If you don’t want to pay these fees from the start, then don’t fight for undisputed,” Hearn said in an interview with iFL TV.
