British contender Conor Benn has made it clear that after his rematch with Chris Eubank Jr., he intends to leave the middleweight division behind and return to welterweight — and he already knows who he wants to face next.
“It definitely has to be Eubank next. If I don’t make the fight happen now — that window closes. So Eubank has to be next. If not, that chapter’s done. I’ll go back to welterweight, and from all the possible names — I’d choose Haney.”
Benn and Eubank’s first bout, held on April 26 in London, is already considered a top contender for 2025 Fight of the Year.
