Chisora: “Parker and I will put on a real slugfest for the IBF and WBO titles”

Forty-one-year-old British Heavyweight Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KO) has shared his thoughts on what he wants next in the ring.

“Look, I’m basically the IBF mandatory. I kept my spot. The IBF president told me, ‘Derek, your position is locked in—don’t worry about it.’

I’ll be delighted if the winner of Usyk – Dubois gives up the IBF and WBO belts, and Joseph Parker and I can have a proper slugfest for them. That’s my plan, but we don’t know how the promoters will react. They might not like the idea—they could spin everything and do it their own way. But that’s the plan.”

On 19 July at Wembley Stadium in London, Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will fight for the undisputed Heavyweight championship.

Chisora and Parker are the current official challengers for the IBF and WBO titles, respectively.
