Cherneka Johnson retains undisputed world championship

In the early hours of December 20 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, USA, an undisputed bantamweight (up to 53.5 kg) clash took place between reigning world champion Cherneka Johnson (19-2, 8 KOs) and Amanda Galle (12-1-1, 1 KO).

The fight went the full 10-round distance and ended with Johnson winning by unanimous decision. The judges scored it 98–92, 99–91 and 97–93 in Cherneka’s favor.

In July, Johnson defeated Shurretta Metcalf by technical knockout in the 9th round. This marks a fourth consecutive victory for the Australian. For Amanda Galle, it was the first loss of her professional career.
