On 5 July at Manchester Arena (Manchester, UK) the card headlined by Jack Catterall (31-2, 13 KO) vs Harlem Eubank (21-1, 9 KO) for the vacant WBA International and IBF Inter-Continental Welterweight titles (limit 66.7 kg) ended with a cut-induced stoppage. After an accidental clash of heads in round 6 the ringside doctors waved it off; the bout went to the cards and Catterall won by unanimous technical decision — 69-65 and 69-66 × 2 (TD-U 7).
