Insider: Benavidez's Next Fight Set for December 14

According to journalist Fernando Sabatini, WBC interim light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg), 27-year-old David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs), will return to the ring on December 14. His potential opponent could be 35-year-old American fighter Jesse Hart (31-3, 25 KOs).

It’s also possible that Benavidez will share the card with Gervonta Davis, whose next fight is tentatively scheduled for the same date, December 14. Benavidez’s last bout, against Oleksandr Gvozdyk, also took place on the same card as Davis.

In his previous fight, Benavidez secured the WBC interim title by winning a decision. Jesse Hart is currently riding a four-fight technical knockout streak and has not lost since 2020.
