Alimkhanuly and Lara Agree to Fight – The Ring

WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly and WBA titleholder Erislandy Lara have agreed to a unification bout, The Ring reports.

The fight will take place on December 6 in San Antonio, USA, as part of the undercard of the showdown between Isaac Cruz and Lamont Roach. The event will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video via PPV.

In April, Janibek Alimkhanuly (17-0, 12 KOs) stopped Anauel Ngamissengue via fifth-round TKO.

Erislandy Lara (31-3-3, 19 KOs) last fought in September 2024, scoring a stoppage win over Danny Garcia, whose corner retired him after the ninth round.
