Alimkhanuly Scores Epic Knockout Over Ngamissengue

On April 5 at Barys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan, WBO and IBF middleweight world champion Janibek Alimkhanuly (17-0, 12 KOs) stepped into the ring against previously unbeaten Anauel Ngamissengue (14-1, 9 KOs).

The fight ended early in round five. Ngamissengue was dropped in the opening round and later rocked by two vicious hooks in the fifth, which sent him to the canvas again. Though he beat the count, he was clearly in no condition to continue, prompting the referee to wave it off.

Ngamissengue had scored four stoppage wins in his last five outings prior to this bout. Meanwhile, Janibek extended his streak to four straight knockout victories, adding yet another emphatic finish to his résumé.
