WBC Grand Prix in Four Divisions: Major Announcement by Sulaiman and Turki

At the latest World Boxing Council (WBC) congress, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority head Turki Alalshikh announced the launch of the WBC Grand Prix across four weight divisions.

The tournament will feature 128 fighters, limited to those aged 26 and under, with no more than 10 professional bouts on their records.

The competition kicks off in February 2024. Quarterfinals and semifinals will be 8-round bouts, while finals will be contested over 10 rounds. The championship fights will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
