Warren Names The Condition For Anthony Joshua Retiring

Queensberry chief Frank Warren said under what condition, in his view, former unified Heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua should end his career.

If he looks bad against Paul, considering his experience and what Jake has, then I think he should call it a day.

I come from a traditional boxing background, and we always believed that a good big boxer should beat a good little one.

Yes, in AJ’s last fight he completely took apart Daniel Dubois. But Jake Paul has only had 13 fights. And for him, this is a huge, huge step up.

To go in there with a natural Heavyweight — a big guy — a two-time Heavyweight world champion, an Olympic champion, and so on… it’s a colossal leap, and he’ll be a massive underdog. But everybody will watch it.

I compare it to a car crash: people will still buy the broadcast, they’ll watch — and it will do huge, huge numbers,” said Warren.

Joshua (28-4, 25 KO) vs Paul (12-1, 7 KO) will take place on December 19 in Miami, USA. It will be a fully official bout, not an exhibition.
