Fabio Wardley knocks out Joseph Parker

On October 25 at the O2 Arena in London, UK, 30-year-old Fabio Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KOs) stopped 33-year-old New Zealander Joseph Parker (36-4, 24 KOs) in their clash of interim heavyweight champions — WBA vs WBO.

The fight ended in the 11th round, when Wardley launched a sustained offensive that forced the referee to step in and halt the bout.

Before this fight, Parker had been on a strong run, with victories over Zhilei Zhang, Martin Bakole, and Deontay Wilder.

For Wardley, this was his eighth appearance at the O2 Arena — six of his previous bouts there ended by knockout, and one in a draw.
