Turki Plans a Big Fight for the Winner of the Teofimo – Shakur Pair

The Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalsheikh, discussed what awaits the winner of the Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson pairing. During the press conference dedicated to the fight announcement, he stated that the winner will participate in a “big fight” in May 2026.
The confrontation between WBO Junior Welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) and WBC Lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) will take place on January 31, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Teofimo last stepped into the ring in May, when he defeated Arnold Barboza. Shakur defeated William Zepeda in July. For Stevenson, this fight will mark his debut in the new weight class.
