Nikita Tszyu and Michael Zerafa to Fight on January 16

It has been officially announced that Australian boxers Nikita Tszyu, the 27-year-old WBO Inter-Continental champion at Junior Middleweight, and Michael Zerafa, 33, will meet in the ring.

The fight will take place on January 16 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia, as part of the undercard for Liam Paro vs. Paddy Donovan.

The matchup was originally scheduled for December, but had to be postponed after Tszyu was involved in a road accident in October.

In August, Nikita Tszyu (11-0, 9 KOs) won by stoppage against Lulzim Ismaili, after the opponent’s corner refused to continue following the first round.

That same month, Michael Zerafa (34-5, 22 KOs) scored a first-round TKO victory over Mikey Dalman.
