According to insider Dan Rafael, the team of American boxer Richard Torrez Jr. has agreed to a fight against Cuba’s Frank Sanchez. It will be an eliminator — the winner will earn the right to challenge for the IBF title, which is currently held by Ukraine’s undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.
The IBF has set a negotiation deadline — the fighters must reach an agreement no later than December 17.
Previously, Filip Hrgovic, Efe Ajagba, and Moses Itauma turned down a fight with Sanchez. The most recent boxer to decline facing Frank was Daniel Dubois.
