Should Eubank Jr. Retire? Conor Benn Answers

British boxer Conor Benn shared his thoughts on the future of his former rival Chris Eubank Jr.

“Do I think it’s time for him to retire? Personally, I think he should go into a well-deserved retirement. It’s always hard to do it after a loss, but I believe he should put an end to it. He had two beautiful twin sons born, and sometimes you need to put your own health and safety above everything else.

If I had lost the second fight, I would have had to admit that he is a better boxer than me. But I know that’s not the case. That’s why the first fight was tough — I felt like I let myself down, and I really wanted to fix that, make the necessary adjustments, regardless of whether it would be spectacular or not… The second fight was about tuning and correcting mistakes, using feints, agility, speed, boxing intelligence, and sticking to the game plan despite emotions. For me, that was really important,” said Benn.

Conor Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (35-4, 25 KOs) met twice in 2025: in April Eubank Jr. won, and in November Benn took his revenge.
