WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson spoke about a potential move up in weight. The American is confident his skill set will allow him to compete successfully with bigger opponents.
“The weight I feel most comfortable at is 135 pounds. And how high? Probably 147. I fight off skill. I’m so small that my skills will just take over,” Shakur said.
On January 31, Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) will move up in weight for a fight against WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez. The bout will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.
