Sam Goodman returns to the ring for the first time since loss to Nick Ball

On 17 December at the TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia, local super-bantamweights Sam Goodman (21-1, 8 KOs) and Tyler Blizzard (10-1, 4 KOs) met in a 10-round bout at 55.3 kg.

The fight went the full distance and ended in a unanimous decision win for Goodman. The judges scored it 99–91 and two cards of 100–90 in Sam’s favor.

This was Goodman’s first outing since suffering the lone defeat of his career in August, when he lost to WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball.

For Blizzard, it was the first loss of his professional career. Back in June, Tyler had beaten Rocky Ogden by unanimous decision.
