Polish cruiser on Opetaia: “He hasn’t fought anyone on my level”

Cruiserweight boxer Ryan Rozicki is ready to face IBF champion in the cruiserweight division Jai Opetaia if he gets the chance.

“From what I’ve seen, I think he’s probably the best in the division. If I get the opportunity to fight him, I’ll take it 100 percent. He hasn’t fought anyone roughly on my level. I’ve watched some of his fights, and he’s been in there with opponents of a lower level.

In my opinion, his last opponent didn’t look like a world-class fighter. He got clipped and wobbled in the second round. I believe that if he took my right hand, he wouldn’t get back up.

Don’t believe your own hype. Be very careful about what the guys around you are telling you, because you might think you’re the bogeyman, but you probably aren’t,” Rozicki said.

In his previous fight, Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs) knocked out Huseyin Cinkara in the 8th round, and later said he was extremely unhappy with his performance.
