Ortiz Names Division Where He Could Face Crawford

Interim WBC Super Welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz believes a showdown with Terence Crawford is still possible.

“He said he’ll fight within Middleweight. If he waits for me, that’s where it will be, and it makes sense.

Considering how his body changed after fighting at 168 pounds, I don’t think he can make 154 again. If this fight happens — and I really hope it does — it will only be at Middleweight,” Ortiz said.

On November 8, Ortiz (23-0, 21 KOs) is set to face Erickson Lubin. Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) defeated Saul Alvarez in his previous fight.
