Lennox Lewis Names the American Opponent with the Strongest Punch

Former undisputed Heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has spoken about the American heavyweight he faced who, in his view, had the most powerful punch.

“Even though Shannon Briggs didn’t have great endurance, he definitely knew how to punch by using the weight of his body.

Unfortunately for him, he needed the full package. When you get in the ring with me — power alone is not enough,” Lewis said.

Lewis and Briggs fought in the spring of 1998, where Lewis won by technical knockout in the 5th round.
